Brazil’s number one King of Pop superfan goes to all lengths to look like idol
A South American Michael Jackson superfan has recently been in the headlines for using acid to lighten his skin and spending around £2,000 on a number of cosmetic procedures in order to look just like his idol.
The Brazilian, Antonio Gleidson Rodrigues, 32, is the self-proclaimed number one Michael Jackson impersonator in Brazil, had no need to bum implants like some of the recent superfans we have been reading of. Instead he has had rhinoplasty so that he could replicate the famous singer. Antonio spends roughly four hours every single day rehearsing his dance moves too.
Gleidson Jackson, is the pseudonym he prefers to be known as. Mr Gleidson had his first operation in 2009 when he had his nasal septum corrected in order to allow him to obtain the higher notes required for his performances when singing.
After the initial surgery, Gliedson, of Fortalenza, carried on in his vision to fully imitate the world famous pop star by having hyaluronic acid injected into his face, which caused a whitening effect, and Botox injections to augment the area under his eyes.
Antonio, who is a former teacher in drama also had surgery to close the gaps in his teeth and had his eyebrows tattooed in his mission to obtain the perfect resemblance of his hero.
