Triple breasted woman story was hoax
A woman from Florida made headlines earlier this week when it was revealed she’d had surgery to give her a third breast in order to win a place on an MTV reality TV show.
However, the story has since been proven to be a hoax and it’s emerged the woman, Jasmine Tridevil, hasn’t had breast implants at all.
The story surfaced on Monday, with newspapers calling the surgery the “most controversial boob job of 2014”.
It was reported that Jasmine, 21, was only able to have the surgery after calling 50-60 surgeons – with most refusing to carry out the “unethical” surgery.
She’s reported to have told reporters, “It was so tough to find someone who would do it, because I was asking them to break their code of ethics”.
However, Jasmine apparently wanted the boob job so she could appear on MTV and for one other, more unusual reason.
“I wanted to make myself unattractive to men,” she’s reported to have said. “I don’t want to date anymore and this seemed like an easy way of scaring off men.”
However, the story has since been revealed to be a hoax.
American gossip website TMZ reported on Tuesday how the hoax was exposed when a thief stole a bag belonging to Jasmine from an airport – and when police recovered it they found a three-breasted prosthesis inside the bag.
Following some research TMZ also found that Jasmine Tridevil’s personal website belonged to a woman named Alisha Hessler, who appeared to be the same person.
The hoax was confirmed when TMZ found Hessler’s personal website – which included a claim that Hessler provided services including “three breast hoaxes”. It’s thought Hessler hasn’t undergone any kind of breast enlargement or breast reduction surgery.
