Record numbers of women have gone under the knife for breast reductions
Katie Price, AKA Jordan, may have been the highest profile personality to have a breast reduction in the last 12 months, but the number of women, Victoria Beckham included, who are thinking about having a reduction for their breasts has seen a significant boost in the last 12 months.
While breast enlargements are undeniably popular, record numbers opted to go under the knife last year to have their breast implants removed for smaller sizes.
The former glamour model Katie Price, had surgery in November 2014 to downsize from her then 32FF cup to her natural 32B.
Victoria Beckham, 40, is also said to have had joined the Katie in a reduction after going from a 32A to 34DD after the birth of her son, Brooklyn, back in 1999.
Experts in the field say she now appears to be back to her original size.
Last year 1,707 women had their breast implants removed on the NHS.
That compares with 1,156 the previous year – a rise of nearly 50 per cent.
Half a decade ago the number of women treated on the NHS for breast-reduction surgery was only 764.
