Celtic striker Anthony Stokes’ hair transplant
Celtic striker Anthony Stokes is delighted to have a full head of hair again following successful hair transplant surgery.
The Scottish striker tweeted his 127,000 followers this week with a picture of his head and he message: “The Barnet is almost back!”
The 26-year-old Celtic centre forward started balding at the prematurely young age of 22, and two years ago, when aged 24, he decided to take action.
He told the Scottish Daily Record: “My baldness started to become more noticeable in the past two years, so I thought it was about time I did something about it.”
Judging by the tweet, sent while in the Canaries on a winter break with the rest of the Celtic squad, he’s delighted with the results of that decision. His followers were enthusiastic about the results of his surgery, with one replying that his hair looked “braw” – Scottish slang for fantastic. Another cheekily suggested that now Stokes has got a “second chance” with his hair he shouldn’t “ruin it” by getting highlights similar to the ones he had a few years ago.
