Boob job was not done to please men
Samantha Rea describes herself as “an intelligent, well-educated woman in her thirties”, who has just gone under the knife for a boob job. Her reason for doing this? In her words, “I just wanted lovely, bouncy DD boobs”.
However, Samantha has come under some scrutiny for her decision to get cosmetic surgery. It has been claimed that she has done this in order to please others, or to appeal more attractive to men.
She completely disagrees with such a statement, saying that it is almost seen as a struggle to credit woman with making conscious and informed decisions about their own lives. She stated “I didn’t get them done as a response to fashion trends or advertising images. Nor was my decision fuelled by porn or pictures of Jodie Marsh.”
The gender studies post graduate is a pioneer for women who are considering cosmetic surgery, but are afraid of the stigma which surrounds such a procedure. She is trying to promote the fact that a woman’s choice to have cosmetic surgery is her own, and not due to the “pressures” of the media.
Samantha also states that just because she has an academic background, this doesn’t mean that her choices are not being made by other woman who agree with her stand on the subject.
She claims that contrary to articles written by so called “experts”, boob jobs are not on the decline, and the age of new boobs is only just beginning, which certainly cannot be seen as a bad thing!
