Lembit Opik set for cosmetic surgery to restore looks that bagged him a Cheeky Girl
Lembit Opik is having facial surgery in September, in a fraught bid to restore his good looks.
The former MP will go under the knife in the first of a series of operations starting in the autumn.
The hope for Mr Opik is that the major restoration work to his renowned wonky face will bring him better luck when it comes to the ladies.
Lembit, now 50, has a series of physical problems of which stem from an 80ft fall from a paraglider, some 17 years ago, in 1998.
As a result of the accident Lembit unfortunately broke his back in 12 places, along with his ribs, sternum and jaw, topped with extensive facial injuries.
The operation, which will be happening in September, will see experts break the bones in his face and correct his issues. There might be another op after that depending on how this op goes.
The former MP has already had a host of preliminary work done on repairing his face, and said: “My teeth are in such a state now that I can’t really eat anything which requires effort.”
