A man who underwent a hair transplant has seen his dating life improve
A man has claimed his dating life has improved after his hair transplant with a 75% increase in his Tinder matches!
Richard King, 31, decided on a hair transplant after his friends teased him about his receding hairline along with people thinking he was older than he was. He now has said he managed 116 matches from women on Tinder before his transplant, and now boasts 203 after his cosmetic procedure.
He posted two simultaneous profiles, with different pictures to see exactly the difference his new head of hair would make.
“I’d always thought hair transplants were for older men or rich footballers. But it got to the point where my thinning hair was really affecting my self-esteem and overall confidence, so surgery became a viable option. It doesn’t surprise me that women are more likely to go for a guy with a fuller head of hair, It’s just another box to tick in a similar way to how men may choose blondes over brunettes, for example.”
Richard’s hair transplant comes at a time when men’s cosmetic procedures are increasing, especially with hair transplants. Previously the procedure was tagged with middle aged men with fat wallets but is now becoming a more mainstream procedure among men of any age.
It follows statistics from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons that reveal the number of men undergoing plastic surgery has more than doubled in the past decade, rising from 2,440 in 2005 to 4,614 in 2015.
