Cindy Crawford talks about her cosmetic procedures
A-list celebrities are always denying cosmetic surgery so it’s refreshing to hear 49-year-old Super Model Cindy Crawford come clean on her cosmetic procedures.
On a recent publicity tour of her new book she was asked about her rumoured use of surgery and her honesty was a breath of fresh air in a world of secrecy, saying:
“I always said I would never do anything… that was when I was 25.”
She then spoke on one of the most brought up topics when it comes to surgery, the ‘How much is too much?’ question.
“It’s hard because part of you says “okay well I just want to go natural’ but now it’s just a part of our society where so many people are doing it. But then you see some people that are scary and you’re like “oh I don’t want to turn out like that” – is it better to just look old? I’m still trying to figure out where I personally draw my line.”
There’s no denying the 49-year-old lucked out when it came to her looks but earlier in her career she let slip it wasn’t just down to her genes, she told a reporter in 2006 that she had been going to the same surgeon since she was 29. She was quoted as saying:
“I’m not going to lie to myself, past a certain age, creams work on the texture of your skin but, in order to restore elasticity, all I can really count on is vitamin injections, Botox and collagen. I have a very simple, healthy life, which works miracles. I drink a lot of water, watch what I eat and exercise… but I owe the quality of my skin to my cosmetic surgeon.”
