For his appearance at the Euro’s has Wayne Rooney had Botox?
Wayne Rooney has appeared in a video pleading with England fans to avoid fighting with opposing fans at the European Championships, and his smooth complexion has sparked rumours that he’s had Botox.
The England captain appeared in a video with England manager Roy Hodgson after the crowd trouble in the aftermath of England’s opening group game with Russia. The Manchester United and England captain is no stranger to cosmetic surgery after he’s been open about his previous hair transplants, which were carried out in 2011. Days after having the operation he tweeted to confirm the £30,000 operation.
He said: ‘Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25, why not? I’m delighted with the result.’ But it is his forehead that has set tongues wagging this time.
Social media lit up after the televised plea, with users commenting on the stars appearance with Jules Wheeler writing on social media: ‘Watching Wayne Rooney just then, I suspect he’s had a drop of Botox btwn his eyes/middle forehead. Flat area. Lines either side move.’
Back in 2014 it was suggested the star had had dermal fillers after an appearance in a TV interview with cosmetic surgeons claiming the dramatic change in Rooney’s appearance was ‘consistent’ with using the treatment on his frontalis muscles.
Maybe we will have to wait until he tweets about it for the confirmation on his Botox. Hopefully his new look will spark him to a great performance today against Wales!
