Is the ‘Kylie Effect’ the reason for an increase in cosmetic surgery procedures?
She’s part of one of the most famous families on the planet and boasts one of the most recognisable faces in the world which experts believe has sparked an increased amount of cosmetic surgery procedures.
She has a hugely popular make up line much to the delight of her fans, but it seems that that’s not enough with people resorting to lip and cheek fillers in a bid to look like the reality TV star.
The rise in these procedures has been named the “Kylie effect” with leading a cosmetic surgeon saying;
“Anything Kylie does the whole world follows. Overnight she made it acceptable to have lip injections.”
Dr Leah Totton, winner of the Apprentice also had her say on the “Kylie effect” adding:
“It used to be Kim Kardashian who everyone wanted to copy, but now the most common procedure I’m asked for is Kylie Jenner’s lips.
I’m also constantly asked for cheek fillers, which Kylie looks like she’s had to change the shape of her face and make it more contoured. The demand for both treatments has rocketed.”
Before finishing by saying;
“In the past, women used surgery more rarely and to fix a specific part of themselves they didn’t like. Then they started asking for a celebrity’s nose or lips. Now, some want to copy someone’s entire look.”
