Pectoral implants can help build self-confidence in individuals who were once embarrassed by their appearance. Pectoral implants are designed to define, firm and shape the male chest. Some men are unable to achieve desired results through exercise alone and the surgery can give existing muscles a toned, more enhanced look. For patients who have underdeveloped chest muscles as result of a medical defect or injury, the pectoral implant procedure can often reproduce a natural, even and symmetrical chest area.
Pectoral implants are different to female breast implants as they have a flatter profile and are designed to be firm in texture. The procedure is performed by creating an incision hidden in the armpit through which the implant is inserted underneath the existing muscles. A variety of sizes of implants are available which vary in width and projection, which you surgeon will discuss with you in order to meet your expectations and get the result you desire.
