Broken thread veins are extremely common and often embarrassing, mostly affecting the face, body and legs. We don’t know the exact causes of thread veins but they may be caused by changes in temperature, smoking, hormonal changes, alcohol and prolonged standing as well as being a possible inherited condition. What we do know is that everyone would prefer smooth unblemished skin.

Sclerotherapy is effective in removing broken thread veins and is a relatively simple non-surgical procedure involving the injection of a solution into the vein. Over a course of treatments the vein perishes until it disappears completely. The number of treatments varies depending on how many areas need to be treated, which your surgeon will discuss this with you during your consultation.

Laser treatments are also an option for the removal of very fine and large thread veins and works by generating heat in the vein that causes the vessel wall to collapse and over time is broken down and absorbed by the body.

Mole Removal
Moles can often be both a cosmetic and practical problem for both men and women. As well as being in the way when shaving and applying makeup, many opt for the removal of moles to increase their appearance.

The removal of a mole is a quick procedure and the mole is removed by excision and then stitched. It’s usual for a small scab to form but any scaring will be small and often fades over time.
